Giveon Electronics Celebrates 70th Year As Shure Distributor

NILES, IL, October 30, 2006— Shure Incorporated celebrated its 81st anniversary this year.  One of the company’s longtime partners, Giveon Electronics Ltd., is celebrating its 70th year as a Shure distributor. The company was founded in 1934 by Joseph Giveon and has been a Shure distributor since 1936.

“The association between Shure Incorporated and Giveon Electronics Ltd. In Tel Aviv, Israel, is extraordinary,” said Rose L. Shure, Chairman of Shure.  “It began before Israel became a sovereign country in 1948.  The founder, the late Joseph Giveon, entered into the relationship with S. N. Shure 70 years ago, and it has continued under the management of his son, Ahinoam Giveon.”

How does Mr. Giveon feel about his company’s longtime relationship with Shure?

“Pride is the first emotion that arises for Giveon having completed 70 years as a Shure distributor,” said Giveon.  “It seems incredible that, between my father and me, we have waved the Shure banner for seven decades.  It takes mutual understanding, abiding trust, and close cooperation to maintain a relationship for so long and none has ever wavered.  May it continue for many years to come.”

The feeling is definitely mutual from Shure’s point of view.
